The municipal swimming pool in Sömmerda was reopened in 2022 after extensive general renovation and conversion into a barrier-free inclusive pool.
There are 6 lanes in the swimmers' pool, a non-swimmers' pool with a water slide and current channel, a diving pool with 1 m, 3 m and 5 m diving towers and a toddlers' pool. A water playground, a playground with a slide and a beach volleyball court offer the opportunity for games and sports. Numerous sunbathing areas provide relaxation from everyday life. A snack bar completes the offer.
