YIN YOGA (silent, gentle, deeply effective)
Yin Yoga is practiced mainly in a sitting or lying position. Here the postures are held for about 3-5 minutes without active muscle power. During this time it is called "doing nothing", letting go and giving oneself completely to the posture.
On a physical level, staying in these positions for a long time activates and stretches ligaments, tendons and joints, but especially the deep-lying connective tissue (fascia tissue) that runs through our entire body. Lack of movement, incorrect posture patterns or injuries very often cause the connective tissue in the body to become stuck or matted - resulting in a feeling of tension and pain (e.g. back pain). Through the targeted and perfectly coordinated Yin Yoga exercises, the tissue gains more flexibility and resilience and is thus supplied with fresh nutrients again. In addition, this opens up the joints and stimulates the internal organs. //
