Description
Around Münchenbernsdorf there are many possibilities to relax. Be it hiking in the near and far surroundings or a stay in the local natural swimming pool.
Already in the 18th century people bathed in the Teichtal situated Mahlteich. In 1924 the idea of the swimming club was taken up and a light and air bath was established. Many bathers from near and far praised the local bath with its large sunbathing lawn. From the middle of the 1930s, a lifeguard was employed for the season. On behalf of the city of Münchenbernsdorf, the bath is maintained and the water is kept clean. Constantly there are improvements, such as the establishment of the non-swimmer pool, the acquisition of pedal boats or rowboats and the installation of water slides, 90 m2 sandbox for the children and various sports facilities such as the volleyball court. In 2017, the supporting wall of the bath was renovated.
